The Silver Shadow Series provides a large reflective surface on top to deflect sunlight and a black underside to absorb wandering rays, allowing you to walk cooler and better protected. Its coating sheds water easily, eliminating the need to wear sweaty rain gear.

Its rigid shaft insures that it won't unexpectedly collapse and its simple construction ensures years of trouble-free use. The simple design with minimal parts keeps it light and durable. I was in the Collegiates a couple weeks ago and learned that during sporadic afternoon showers in camp I didn’t have to don rain gear or hide out in my small Plex Solo. I could sit out and enjoy the rain ( as long as it wasn’t a crazy frog strangler) and fresh air. Pic from Lake Ann

My wife and I just recently purchased this umbrella to use on the Trans Catalina Trail. Talk about a trail with little to no shade…. We were very impressed with the sliver shadow, it worked flawlessly providing us many miles of shaded travel. Even in moderate wind the umbrella held up well and I look forward to many more backpacking trips with it!

I use this umbrella on my daily 4 mile hike with pups. I’ve had melanoma, basal cell and squamous cell skin cancers from years of outdoor recreation and find comfort in this added protection. The umbrella is super lightweight and very easy to open, close and carry.

Last year I took this umbrella on Rae Lakes Loop. Was definitely a life saver!! Glen Pass is extremely hot and I had no issues as I was shaded the entire time. I pass many sweaty hikers asking about it. One even asked me if I was an ambassador for the company as I was waving about it and detailed descriptions of it and the company. I’ve taken used this umbrella during windy days, through branches and had absolutely no issues! My husband told me since I talked about it so much, it would soon be sold out. Sure enough, it is. I even see that it’s gone up in price since I went to Duck Pass with it. Along that hike I had many hikers taking pictures of the logo. Again, I was asked if I was part of the company since I raved about it. Definitely goes with me on EVERY backpacking trip. I bought one for my sister and for my husband before the price went up thankfully. I’d like to purchase another but again they’re sold out.

I think the picture says it all. Used it on a hike trip and even though it was a very hot day I was keep cool with this hands free umbrella. Just need to be careful when walking the you don’t tear the umbrella on any tree branches.
